Abstract

Hairdressing scissors can be very inconvenient for the designer during the hair cut. When using a comb as a guide for the scissors, the practitioner must perform an external torsion of the hand up to 45 °, in order to maintain a proper angle of approach towards the hair and to make the cut as close as possible to the surface of the scissors.



Since the joint of the elbow can not help in this maneuver, the rest of the body, including knees, must compensate for the excess on the angle of the hand. This position , one of the main source of diseases of the work of hair stylists, leads to cramps and leads to progressive damage of joints.



Most of the hairdressing scissors are not designed to fit with the natural anatomy of the hand, both the rings of the handle equidistant from the pin junction, and often forcing the thumb and ring finger to oppose unnaturally. Even scissors with thumb adjustable, they can not offer a natural handle.
